EVP Business Development
Natalie Osborne's extensive background in sales and distribution, acquisition and brand management has given her a unique perspective on the TV and film industry. She approaches every project she champions, not as a program, but as an entertainment platform, with the potential to reach global markets via multiple delivery channels.
During Natalie's 10 year tenure in the entertainment industry, she has worked with some of the world's top media companies including six years with NBC Universal in London, England, where she specialized in children's and family programming. Appointed NBC Universal's Vice President of Children's Programming in 2000, Natalie managed the worldwide sales and marketing rollout of children's programs while working closely with the consumer products and video divisions to ensure the brands were managed and extended to the highest standard.
Three years later, Natalie was promoted to Vice President of Acquisitions for Universal Pictures Visual Programming, a boutique production and acquisition unit of Universal Studios specializing in pop culture, children's and family programs. As head of programming, she initiated the acquisition, development and production of new intellectual properties and oversaw the brand management of the unit's existing program portfolio in all media including video/DVD, television, publishing and consumer products.
Her experience in identification, acquisition and brand management of children's properties include Mattel's direct-to-video Barbie movies, Nelvana's new CGI Care Bears feature films, and Australia's Kids Like Us smash hit, Hi-5.
The product of a career that has spanned all sides of the business and several continents and cultures, Natalie's vision is to nurture ideas and relationships to build properties with enduring appeal and cross-border resonance. Her approach to her work and the industry can be summarized in four words: "Create locally. Think globally."
