New Stand Up Comedy Series for Kids Combines Animation With Live Performances by Top Comedians

9 Story Entertainment is partnering with Just For Laughs to develop "Standup4Kidz" (working title), a new standup comedy series for kids based on a concept optioned from Big Hug Productions, it was jointly announced today by 9 Story Entertainment CEO Vince Commisso and Just For Laughs Vice President International Business Development and Distribution André Picard.

The new deal pairs 9 Story, one of Canada's top producers of successful kids programming, with Just For Laughs, the world's best known creator and distributor of comedy content.

"StandUp4Kidz" (26 x 11 min.) showcases the talents of some of the world's best comedians performing their cleanest and most family friendly humor in a half-hour of side-splitting fun that combines animation with live performances.

"The access to online material has taken kids' appreciation of comedy to new levels and no one knows the comedy business as well as Just For Laughs, whose track record as a leading producer of comedy throughout the world is unmatched," says Commisso.
