Senior OMDC Business Officer Thomas Bergeron joins 9 Story Entertainment
Toronto, april 10, 2006

9 Story Entertainment is pleased to announce the appointment of Thomas Bergeron B.A, M.B.A as Director of Production Finance. With both a professional and educational background in film and television production, Mr. Bergeron further strengthens the depth and diversity of 9 Story's financial team. In addition to his current professional designations, Thomas is actively pursuing his CMA designation.

At 9 Story, Thomas will oversee and manage tax credits, private and public production funding, coproductions, and project cash management. A leading Canadian digital animation company, 9 Story produced the Emmy and Gemini winning children's program Peep and the Big Wide World as well as the recent international animated hit, If the World Were a Village.

"We are delighted to welcome Thomas to our senior management team," said Vince Commisso, partner and executive producer 9 Story Entertainment. "Thomas' entrepreneurial background and time with the Ontario Media Development Corporation (OMDC) make him an invaluable addition to the 9 Story team." "We developed a relationship with Thomas while at the OMDC and were impressed with his problem solving skills, professionalism and his breadth of understanding of the TV production industry so hiring Thomas was an easy decision to make when screening the results of our executive search" said Steven Jarosz, partner and executive producer who oversees 9 Story's financial operations.

Thomas had worked with the OMDC since 1997 as a Senior Business Officer. He was involved in evaluating applications to 6 different tax credit programs with a focus on film and television tax credits. He was also one of the first permanent staff hired to deliver Ontario tax credits to the film and television industry. Over the years he has been involved with a number of entrepreneurial companies developing film and television projects. Thomas' professional credits include executive producer of Traveling Alone, a drama and educational project completed in association with the Ontario Provincial Police travel safety program that appeared on Global Television

"I'm excited to be working with the 9 Story team" stated Mr. Bergeron "this company is full of life and creativity and I am honoured to be the newest addition".

Founded in 2001, Toronto's 9 Story Entertainment has quickly become a leading Canadian digital animation producer and is the Emmy and Gemini-winning producer of the children's program Peep and the Big Wide World.
