9 Story Entertainment to Produce Multiplatform Animated Series
New series Futz! to be produced for television, web and mobile

9 Story Entertainment, the Emmy and Gemini award-winning animation company, will commence production on a 26 x 3 minutes series of their new action-comedy, Futz!, for Teletoon in December 2006.

"Futz! is a project that was ahead of it's time when we began developing it in 2002. With the surging demand for short content coming from tween and older audiences on mobile, web and television, the format and concept are a perfect fit for today's media landscape. This production represents another in a series of strategic steps forward for 9 Story. We're thrilled to have Teletoon's support behind it on all broadcast platforms in Canada," explained Vince Commisso, partner and executive producer, 9 Story Entertainment.

Ready for anything but prepared for nothing, Futz is one part genius, and one part idiot. Finding himself thrown in very relatable situations, regardless of location or time period, Futz is somehow always able to severely mess things up in just 180 seconds; no small feat! Targeted to 9-14 year-olds, episodes of Futz! will be available via television, mobile, and the web.

A new episode of the series will be submitted at this year's MIPCOM Jr.
