9 Story, YTV to Co-Produce New
Live-Action Series
Worldscreen.com
TORONTO, 9 Story Entertainment has received a commission from Canada’s YTV for 13 episodes of a new live-action series tentatively titled Survivorman Kids.
The series will take a team of six 14- to 16-year-olds into the wilderness for three weeks, with survival expert and filmmaker Les Stroud as their mentor. The participants will vie for a chance to fulfill an individual dream they hold dear, driving them to complete challenges.
"We're thrilled to be working with Les Stroud and YTV on an inaugural live-action series,” said Vince Commisso, the CEO of 9 Story Entertainment. “This show will inspire kids to reach much higher than they ever thought they could. This partnership is proof positive of our commitment to seek out projects with strong appeal and potential, and to take them from development, to production and delivery within a targeted time-frame."
