Marble, 9 Story to adapt Stine book
C21 Media - September 2010
Canada's Marblemedia and kids prodco 9 Story Entertainment have agreed to jointly develop Gnasty Gnomes, a new series for six- to 11-year-olds based on the book by Goosebumps author RL Stine.
The Toronto shops plan to show a demo reel of the project at Mipcom and will eventually split distribution, with 9 Story (Peep & the Big Wide World) handling Italy, Spain and Latin America while Marblemedia will work all other territories through its Distribution 360 join-venture.
The show follows a young gnome and his mission to make the world "as chaotic, unpredictable and gross" as possible.
The copro "allows us to combine creative forces to tell unique stories for this exciting new series," said Matt Hornburg, partner/executive producer of Marblemedia (This is Daniel Cook). An online component is also in the works.
