9 STORY DEBUTS AT DISCOP EAST 2010 WITH FULL SLATE OF
LIVE-ACTION, ADVENTURE, COMEDY AND ANIMATED PROGRAMMING FOR KID, TWEEN AND FAMILY AUDIENCES
Toronto - July 2010
Multi-award winning production and distribution company 9 Story Entertainment is coming to DISCOP EAST 2010 as a new exhibitor to offer an exciting slate of new and popular returning programming for kid, tween and family audiences that includes live-action, adventure, comedy and animated fare.
Headlining 9 Story’s offerings at the market is Harriet The Spy: Blog Wars starring Jennifer Stone of Disney’s Wizards of Waverly Place. A modern twist on the popular books, the new feature-length movie stars Stone as Harriet “The Spy” Welsh as an aspiring writer who is in competition with her nemesis, the very popular Marion Hawthorne, for the role of class blogger.
Wild Kratts (40 x 22 min.) is a half-hour adventure series from brothers Chris and Martin Kratt – adventurers, zoologists and creators of the hit shows Kratt’s Creatures, Zoboomafoo and Be the Creature. Get ready for a wild and comic ride as the Wild Kratts chase, leap and fly to the Creature Rescue in the brothers’ first ever animated series.
Following the success of the first season, live-action/adventure series Survive This (14 x 22 min.) returns for an exciting second season featuring a new remote setting, eight new participants aged 14-17 and a new set of skill testing survival challenges.
Based on the popular website of the same name, Almost Naked Animals (52 x 11 min.) is an irreverent, fast-paced animated comedy series featuring an ensemble cast of seven free-spirited underwear-clad animals that run a beachfront hotel. Like kids at a summer camp, this gang does their best to make each day more fun than the last!
Taking us back to a time when funny even without dialog, Futz (26 x 3 min.) is a classic cartoon based on the whacked-out comedic adventures of our odd-looking, strangely appealing iconic anti-hero, Futz. He’s ready for anything … but prepared for nothing!
Meet the odd couple for kids in Best Ed (52 x 11 min.), an animated series about an unlikely friendship between a dog named Ed and a squirrel named Buddy. They’re not just friends; they’re best friends … one best Buddy … and one best Ed.
At DISCOP EAST 2010, 9 Story Entertainment will be offering their full slate of new and popular returning programs for children, tweens and families at Stand MA1.
