New Children’s Factual Series Peers into Factories and Manufacturing Plants
To Show Kids How Everyday Items are Made
52 x 5” Episodes Slated for Release This Fall
Toronto - September 2010
Canada-based production company 9 Story Entertainment, in association with Loten Media, producer of hit series “Mighty Machines” has set MIPCOM JR 2010 for the international debut of MAKING STUFF, a fascinating new factual series for children, it was announced by 9 Story Entertainment CEO Vince Commisso.
At MIPCOM JR, 9 Story will screen t five completed episodes of the 52 x 5” series which is slated for broadcast on TVOntario, TFO, and Knowledge Network this fall.
Making Stuff follows the adventures of Gears, an animated host made out of spare parts from the factory floor and his animated pal Wiz, whose x-ray vision helps children understand the inner workings of the machines they meet. Designed to show young viewers ages 4-7 how objects they encounter every day are made, the series is shot in HD in real factories, food plants and wherever items such as gelato, chocolate, teddy bears, kayaks, jigsaw puzzles and model trains are made.
“This wonderful new factual series is a terrific complement to our growing catalog of innovative new programming for children,” said Commisso. “We look forward to entertaining children around the globe with this unique, informative series hosted by appealing characters that show kids the real-life world of manufacturing products for the worldwide marketplace.”
