MAKING STUFF is a series designed to show curious young viewers how everyday objects they encounter are designed and made.

Our hosts are GEARS, a quirky animated mechanical fellow who looks like he is made from bits of spare parts found on the factory floor where he lives and WIZ, his super smart levitating pal.

Gears starts his day by watching old TV sets he has collected where he sees children using all sorts of fascinating objects. Each show opens with the item to be investigated appearing on one of the TV screens. Yanking his sleepy buddy Wiz out of an old trunk, Gears dashes out into the real world to find some answers, while Wiz uses his special x-ray vision to understand the workings of each object and reveal the secrets of how it is made.

The series is shot in HD on location in Europe and North American factories, workshops, food plants, or wherever each item is made. Join Gears and Wiz as they take off on a voyage of discovery to find out the secrets behind MAKING STUFF.
